W/o looking it up, it would mainly come down to whether or not Romero qualified for the "batting title" or not. Ya know like in MLB (and college). Aka a reserve that goes 13/26 isn't gonna "lead the league" in batting average b/c he hit .500)

Honestly, I didn't even think of Romero for this reason (right or wrong). I could very well be wrong. If he "qualifies" that's probably for sure enough to pass him by Rivera at the very the least.

He has 123 ABs. Guys that have started most of the season have, on average, 180 ABs. Guys that have started literally every game have b/t 200-210 ABs, although LSU does have a guy that has started every game (Cole Freeman) that has 168 ABs. I would surmise Romero has plenty of ABs
