Didn't see this anywhere on the rant...
Great seeing Trevor Knight execute in spring practice, he may be better than Mayfield in a real conference

Hard to tell if he just has an ax to grind against his alma mater for some reason or if he is being genuine.

Why would he have an axe to grind? He was just commenting on the Spring games and he wasn't too fa off from what I observed.

That's what I want to know. It just strikes me as odd that a former OU player would go after his own squad with that kind of venom. He wasn't just innocently commenting on spring games. He worded it such that it comes off as a backhanded shot at his school by way of complimenting Knight. The "in a real conference" bit is clearly a jab at OU. There's no other way to take that. Also, former players tend to defend the current QB instead of intimating that the better player got away. It's a weird comment all-around. There has to be more to it.

A ton of people within and outside of that OU program really liked Trevor Knight. Knight was voted the Team Captain and brought to Big 12 media days even after barely losing the job to Mayfield.
The "in a real conference" is not a jab at OU. It is clearly a jab at the Big 12. Many of the fans want out of the Big 12 and want to join the SEC. The administration wants out of the Big 12 and wants to join the PAC (much like tu) or the Big 10 (academics).

His comments sound pretty spiteful for some reason

He's either a guy that really loved Knight while he was there and feels Knight was totally wronged by being replaced by Mayfield (along the lines of the partisans that drew up camps alongside either Allen or Murray), or he's mad at OU or Stoops for something personal - like failing to invite him to something, recognize him for something, some kind of rude comment or snub, etc.

He also went after Murray. I find that more interesting.

why is his opinion remotely relevant? Do people honestly believe he is some expert on QB play?
I've never heard any Ag quote Casillas on any other matter. Just because someone says something you want to hear doesn't make their opinion well-founded.
He's a guy with a mic just like Booger McFarland. WGAF?

He's made several spiteful comments about the Cowboys in the last few years as well (on radio interviews). Maybe that's just his thing.

After the way things went here, I'm not sure Murray will succeed anywhere. Just seems to think he can throw his helmet out there and not have to work for it. Just my perception.
