Well, if what people are saying about how limited the NCAA is in what evidence they can use, it sounds like someone can commit murder, tell the world about it, but if they don't say it directly to the NCAA investigators, then nothing willawson@ecardio.com happen. Don't know if that's true, but they might get off with a slap on the wrist if it is.

U mean absolutely nothing? No coaches coming off the recruiting trail for a week or so. Not even a hand slap for a current or former coach in their NCAA file? I have a feeling something will happen but it will be minor.

Can you throw some of that optimism this way?

The grounds for Tunsil's seven-game suspension are documented. Even if all the draft night hoopla evaporates without an iota of substantiation, there's no way the NCAA can ignore documented violations/infractions and retain any credibility.

Tunsil's suspension obviates Ole Miss from having to vacate wins during that stretch of the 2015 season. It doesn't prevent the NCAA from imposing sanctions.

There are too many fingers in the post-season pie to hand down a bowl ban these days. I'll predict reduced scholarships and restricted contact.
