To answer the OP, yes we're going to be that good. Vegas doesn't sunshine pump and their bullish attitude towards the Vols says quite a bit.

That said, UGA is not an afterthought for Vol fans and I'm not sure where that perception is coming from. I think UGA will challenge us far more than UF. The roster is there and Kirby is inheriting a turnkey operation with the only real questions being QB inexperience and OL. I mention your oline only because they didn't look so hot in the spring game but at the same time your OL coach, Sam Pittman, is a damn fine OL coach who I fully expect to have a much better line worked out by the time we play.

Yes and No-

I think the Vols are going to be very good, in fact they need to be good or else they have a serious coaching problem on their hands because to not be very good this year with all of the upper class talent on that team would be a horrible look for the program. That said, I anticipate them to have a very solid season and they are definitely the team to beat in the East. They will have a chance to win every single game on their schedule, but outside of a few cupcakes I don't think any wins are guaranteed, especially on the front end of that schedule.

Regarding the Vegas sunshine pumping- see 2015 Auburn.

There is a good shot they finish 1st in the East, but it wouldn't be shocking to see them finish in 3rd.

Two words; Oregon Ducks.
And I got the UGA afterthought from VolNation and from a few folks I know who are Vol fans. Historically UT fans have been the most unrealistic fan base in the country. I think this season is a make or break one for CBJ, fair or not. Anything shy of 10 wins will put him on the hot seat with Vol fans. And, if the recruiting gurus are correct, UT talent drops off a good bit after '16 in comparison to Bama, UGA, etc.
