They beat Bama without Tunsil, OSU & A&M without RN and we return the best QB in the league. Did you think state could contend in the west last year when y'all returned the best QB?

Nobody thought State would contend last year. Every prediction had them struggling and in the cellar. You were on here running your mouth too. Again, they out performed their preseason prognostication

You won the game, but you didn't beat Alabama.

Not that I don't agree that people shouldn't overlook OM, they did have some painful losses, and Kelly's not going to have as easy a time in the passing game next year. Be optimistic but realize that great teams have gone down for less than losing five draft picks to the NFL.

The real question is how long the cloud hangs. If it's still there come September, OM is gonna need some serious fortitude to shut the distractions out, both individually and as a program. As great as their recruiting has been, it's been a wee bit top-heavy, so they're going to lean more on the solid 3 star types, which means there's less margin for error if they can't avoid distraction.

Big difference. MSU lost it's OL and thus Dak not only had zero protection but there was no running game. I think Saban stated it best after the Msu/Bama game. We were one dementional and not even your great Chad Kelly could have done any better under our circumstances.

Dak had to carry the entire offense on his shoulders and we still won 9 games despite everyone knowing how to beat us on defense. I'd say he was remarkable given that.
