- the fact that the NCAA is already negative on Mississippi (see thread about NCAA looking to prevent MS teams from hosting baseball regionals due to Religious Liberty law).
Ole Miss is positioned, politically, to be an easy target for the NCAA.

Excellent point. Outside of Mississippi, no one is going to come to the defense of Ole Miss.
