I hope you are referring to potential because Cooper was a very very poor defender in high school. Sure he out talented some guys he defended and got some steals but in no way was he a move your feet defender kind of player.

Yes. Just the required quickness. Technique and effort will have to improve from high school. That's true with 95% of high school kids transitioning to college. Okoro was an exception to that rule.

That usually is the case with your PG in high school.

I remember Harper was a terrible defender when he got to Auburn. He got better but he never was a stopper on the perimeter.
He is taller than Cooper but not by much.

Cooper just needs to learn how to defend better, and just be the PG Harper was (although it is debatable if he ever will be the better outside shooter that Harper was).
