Michigan just had a 5* player decommit from the school to go pro. Going pro is becoming more and more a viable option for top recruits even though only *4 has done so and got drafted by the NBA.

*Most Notably Terrance Ferguson and Brandon Jennings... though that number swells to 6 when Lamelo and RJ Hampton gets drafted.

Seems that route has hurt more than helped. I think these guys see the exposure from college ball vs overseas is worth the lack of $$$.

Now, as you alluded to, that is slowly changing over time. Don't think we are there yet though.

One theory is the guy went pro because Christopher didn't choose Michigan.
