My perspective as a fan of UGs rival. I don't think UG will be any better with Smart than the were with Richt. They were pretty darn good to win 9-10 games per year and will probably continue to be pretty darn good. I don't fear the hire as much as I would had they landed a big time head coach, but time will tell. The question will be, "how patient will UG fans be with the hire?" I do still expect to continue the winning % UF has against them that has existed since the head Dawg Vince Dooley retired. What is that about 21-5 since 1990? Here's to a great SEC rivalry.

It's not a particularly high bar over the last half of career.
