The prohibition makes sense. Do you want Alabama hiring the head of a series of camps as "special recruiting coordinator?" He'd have a direct association w the school, be paid by the school, and have the same limitations of other coaches except he'd have unlimited evaluation and contact with players at the camps. That's a nice advantage for that school and a loophole every team would drive a truck through.

A series of Ozzie Newsome "Built By Bama" camps has a nice ring to it. Not gonna happen
