In terms of buying it as a valid argument for the NCAA. I have no doubt it's their "reason", I just think it's bullshite and as others have said largely a semantic argument.

If he's on staff, participating in his camps would fly right in the face of the recently enacted satellite camp ban.

It isn't just a semantics argument. Bring him in once a month or so to address the team and they're fine but if they try to put in an official position anywhere in the athletic department, they're going to get slammed.

It is pretty simple. He can either be on staff or do his camps. He's choosing the camps and I applaud him for it.
