I don't even like Kobe, but being hellbent on saying he's a rapist kind of ignores the facts of the case.

It's a little out of character for spleen. And settling out of court is far from an admission of guilt. Fighting it in court would have been inundating and distracting. He was likely advised to bite the bullet and move on.

I read Clay Travis's article on it the other day, but I remember there being something about someone else's semen being found on her panties that wasn't mentioned. Am I misremembering? Iunno. It was all a long time ago, and I still think now what I thought then... these NBA stars are used to women doing everything they possibly can to get their dicks, and they don't live in a world where that's not the case. So I can totally believe that Kobe never once thought he was raping her and simultaneously also believe that she didn't want to have sex with him.

I'm not really hellbent on it. There is the possibility he was innocent. But the fact remains he had just had a kid with his wife 6 months prior ot the incident, there were other women that allegedly accused him of doing the same thing to them but didn't want the media spotlight on them so didn't pursue, his attorneys and a cooperative media dragged the girl through the mud, and he got to walk away by settling a civil suit.
He's a vile human being, but I would say that about any man that cheats on his wife 6 months after she gives birth to his baby. The rape accusation just adds to it. My opinion is he was guilty of the rape.

After months of reviewing discovery, listening to her attorney, and even her testimony in person, I now understand how she feels that she did not consent to this encounter."
I mean that sounds pretty fricking bad, especially coming right from his mouth.
I didn't know I was raping her but after listening to her yea I guess I raped her.

Oh I'm not sticking up for him cheating on his wife or being a person of high character or anything, trust me
I just think it's a little ridiculous how some run with the "he's a rapist" thing as if it's a statement of fact. The cheating is enough to have a low opinion of him off the court, imo.

I have always loved to hate Kobe. With that being said, the guy was one hell of a basketball player. The closest thing to Jordan we will ever see.

Fan of his game
But anyone that doesn't acknowledge that he should have gone to prison and 100% would have gone to prison had the girl not been completely destroyed by the media and become uncorroperative due to death threats, is just not living in reality.
Blood, bruises, testimony of the examiner, ect. He would have been convicted and later he opening admitted that she did not consent and that he was sorry (which I do give him credit for).
