I don't care how much lsu fans care about their own team. The only points you can come up with are how much lsu fans love lsu baseball. Absolutely no one is denying that.


Believe it or not...there actually are other college baseball teams than lsu and there are a hell of a lot of people that don't give a shite about lsu baseball.

This isn't about lsu baseball. It's about a sport not being nearly as relevant nationally as we think it is. Rounding up every coonass and stuffing then into a stadium with bleachers and three different shades of yellow is absolutely irrelevant to the rest of the nation views the sport.

I know that LSU baseball's attendance was 364,700 last year, which was more tickets sold than all but three men's basketball programs, EVERY women's basketball program, every hockey program, and many football programs.

You can try and minimize it all you want. It's a unique accomplishment. And one only LSU itself has a chance to exceed.

Except this thread isn't about the popularity of the sport nationally. No one is denying that baseball is the least popular nationally.
