Yes, we do need a legit hitting coach. However, to CPM’s defense, he had to promote Gibbs last year when Cannizzaro left for State. He didn’t have another option.
After how good we were at the plate in 2017, how do you not give Gibbs another season. Then he blew out his knee, which forced him to promote Ochinko. If Ochinko remains the hitting coach next year, then I’d be frustrated.
We were still near the top of the SEC this year in batting, but this is the Rant. If we don’t win it all, we need to fire the coach.

Yes, he gets a pass this year. We were National Seeds 6 years straight and made the finals last year. We had 6 players drafted in the top 10 rounds last year, our only returning weekend starter was out for the whole season, so was our starting short stop. Duplantis (and Coomes/ Slaughter at 1B) was basically our only returning fielder.

Just sounds highly coincidental. Aranda is smart, nobody doubts that, but I doubt the Defensive Coordinator hired a safety’s coach 3 months ago with the sole intention of him recruiting an offensive player who is currently enrolled at another powerhouse school.

Point spreads absolutely change based off of one player, especially the QB position. As money comes in heavy on one side due to bettors confidence, the lines will adjust.
