Making it count: ratio of total weeks #1 to AP NC (i.e., final week #1):

Auburn: 2/9 = 22% (Hard to believe Auburn only has 9 total weeks at #1, but the 22% shows how they capitalize. Another stat that shows Auburn has a tendency towards boom or bust seasons)

A&M: 1/7 = 14.3% (only title was in 1939, that was a long time ago)

Alabama: 10/74 = 13.5%

Tennessee: 2/18 = 11.1%

Florida: 3/41 = 7.3%

LSU: 2/30 = 6.7%

UGA: 1/15 = 6.7&

All others 0% (not AP titles)

These numbers show how strong of an anti-Southern bias the media had for most of the 20th century, really.

If we'd won in 2013, then it would be 3/10. Pretty nuts.

2003 was such bullshite just bc of historical stats like this...
We won the national championship, we held the crystal up after the last game of the CFB season surrounded by confetti...

Always something when we have a NC caliber year:
03- split title
07- only 2 loss NC (perception)
11- rematch (not saying unjustified, just rare)
