K is typically singled out because of the sheer numbers each year. Seven players from last year's team left, the top seven scorers.

Cal literally has to rebuild every year. It's just the way it works when you recruit the top talent in basketball. In football, you have more players to absorb any attrition.

I agree. I am always impressed with how well Cal's teams play as a team, how hard they play and how well they play defense. Those things are incredibly hard to teach a frehsman how to do and Cal does it every year.

He's an incredible recruiter and coach. I just feel like, as someone who supports a program similar to Kentucky in football, that there would probably be some level of frustration after having all those players and being so close so many years. If there wasn't, you wouldn't be Kentucky.

I feel like we have missed some opportunities for sure, I suppose last year would be the best example. And I think Cal made mistakes in the last 4 minutes of that game.
After going back and forth, we finally got a 6 point lead, and he took the air out of the ball. We then went 3 straight possessions and had 3 shot clock violations.
Wisconsin was sucking wind at that point, and he should have put Ulis in and had him run them up and down the court. Instead, we slowed the game down, they hit 3's late, and passed us.

But I think 2009, 2011, and 2014 and 2015 are missed opportunities, especially 2011 and 2014 as by the time they got there, they should have won. 2009 and 2015, they were the most talented team by far.
