We do have a good amount of weapons. As for the Oline, I do agree that on paper we don't appear to have a tremendous amount of talent, but one can also convince himself/herself that we'll be fine there. Pittman and Bielema really liked Colton Jackson as a raw athlete, and he has had a couple of years to develop. Malone was not super heralded out of a Mississippi juco, but Tretola wasn't either and was a stud. Froholdt is a big, strong kid with a good motor. Merrick is much more talented than the average Arkansas line recruit (historically), as is Wallace and Zach Rogers. Ragnow is poised to have a breakout year, and Skipper is a solid and experienced RT. I think that by conference play, they could be a solid unit.

Btw, concerning J. Gibson, we all want small town Arkansas kids to get a chance. We say that they haven't had the same amount of competition, coaching, and structure as kids in other areas, but would develop given a chance. Well, that very well may be Gibson. Time will tell, but we can't spew one thing and then fret when it happens.

We will struggle on offense very early in the season. Hopefully we can gain some confidence quickly but this season could be down the tube very early on.

There is so much sunshine in this thread that I should have worn shades. We will not be a very good team this year. You better hope for 6 wins.
Just too much inexperience.

Bert also mentioned Klint Harvey another smalltown walkon as being in the mix for back up at RT.

Skipper's been beat up over the last couple years, having someone that can give him rest will help over the long haul in both keeping skip fresher and giving us game experience behind him.
