I'm a little drunk and I freaked out for a second. At UGA, if you conribute and don't get tickets, that money just counts towards your total points and you just add to it over time. For a minute I freaked out thinking that worst case sceanio I just lost $800 assuming I don't get tickets, which is possible considering I have 0 contribution.
But I just called the OM ticket office and spoke to a helpful young lady named Candy (I'm being serious) and she said it's not like that. If I don't get the tickets due to being at the back of the line they'll just refund my card the total price.
Best case scenario=I double up on what I spent
Worst case= Nothing
thanks ole miss.

And if you get to buy the tickets, you'll then have to pay the donation due on them
If a donation is required why wouldn't that be asked at checkout?
The way the site words it, your donation is only for the purposes of helping your standing in the future or to keep your same seats for next year. At UGA you don't jsut get the option to skip out on the contribution, it's required before you're allowed to even think about tickets. Idk why OM would give me the option to opt out if it was mandatory.

Seeing as the tickets just went on sale today then I'd be pretty surprised if you didn't get them.

Because at this point, even if you get the tickets it hasn't been determined where they will be, so the amount of the donation due on them is unknown until they are assigned. The donation they asked if you wanted to make was a straight donation to try to improve your ranking.
In other words, where some schools charge people $20 or so to get on a waiting list for tickets, you paid Ole Miss $800 to get on their "wait list". At least you might get it back though.

which means I've paid nothing.
As I said above, worst case scenario I'm out zero dollars and nothing is lost.
Best case scenario I double what I paid.
I really don't see a downside here.

Like I said, let us know how it works out.

They just don't want to accept the fact that you bought Ole Miss season tickets from the same price as William and Mary season tickets.
What a goddamn joke that whole state is.

Look at that chart you posted and let me know if you see the word "maintain" on there like I see.
IDGAF if I maintain my seats lol.

Call Candy back and ask her how it works.

Well I'm not a retarded mongoloid so I already asked her the pertinent questions I needed answered. She clearly, specifically, and point blank told me that if I am not awarded season tickets I will get my full amount back.
I'm not sure why this whole thing bothers you so much.

Beware, the MSU fan says you're gonna get hit with surprise contribution fees later.

ITT we have a dude who's pumped about the remote chance to make a couple hundred bucks calling people poor.
Enjoy those nosebleeds while your rookie coach gets his bowl cut kicked in

You had jumped over to the donation part of it, so that's what I was referring to. Anyway, it doesn't bother me at all, so carry on. If I were you, I'd order some more.

You either can't read or have a short attention span. I'm not using these shite seats, I'm going to IMMEDIATELY turn around and sell them for a profit. Meanwhile, I'll be in the best UGA section you have in the stadium in my own seats.
