All that proves is that I fish with a boat with gunnels so that I can fish in the ocean safely.

It also proves your ignorance and redneck tendencies. Bless your heart.

Now, assmunch, do you have an answer to my question or are you just trolling in a thread about folks missing from a boating accident thereby disrespecting those that died?

There are several ways to flip a bass boat. And all involve Budweiser.

Lighten up Mr Gunnels. Grab a Starbucks on me.

We have had a lot of rain in the past month. The spillways and turbines were running that day as I remember. The water levels were slightly above average but the currents were pretty bad. I heard the boat, which was found against the bridge, had damage to the bottom of the boat. Having fished that area before I know it is not hard to get in the current and hit some of the boulders or rocks hiding just beneath the surface. if you are thrown out of the boat into that current, your only hope is a good lifejacket. I was not surprise they found at least one of the bodies down stream. When you sink after you drown the time it takes your body to surface is dependent upon many things including the water temp and the fat in your body. My suspicions are that the other body is downstream as well if not caught underneath some obstruction. It is sad. This river is a dangerous place and we lose several people a year in this area to boating accidents.
