Yeah LSU last played Tulane in football in 2009, but there were discussions to open the season against each other in the Superdome last season...

Not sure what happened. In retrospect, that would have been preferable to having the season opener against McNeese State cancelled due to lightning.
Edit: McNeese State still got their $500,000 guarantee for the game despite the cancellation.
