Somebody throw an ice bath on me when Nick Saban fields a shitty team at Alabama.

I've learned one thing since that man has been walking our sidelines.....Don't worry - Nick's got this.

Front 7--Allen returning starter at DE and a 1st round talent. Payne, former 5-star NT who started as a true freshman last year, budding star. Former 5-star Hand who played a ton at the other DE. Tomilson, 5th year senior who played as much as the starters last year will be top back-up. King is a JUCO guy and likely back-up at other DE. Frazier and OJ Smith return to provide depth on the interior...and that doesn't include the guys who arrive this summer.

At LB Foster and Anderson return as starters and Williams and Hamilton will start and were both top back-ups last year with good production. Back-ups include former 5-stars Evans and Miller along with the best LB class signed in 2016.

In other words a ton of returning experience in the starting front 7, and a little in second group. Won't be as dominant as last year, but easily a top 5 unit nationally, and our secondary could be better with so much returning talent and all of our youth starting to develop back there. I expect a top 5 defense. If offense is on point, Bama will be a tough out again this year for anyone.
