You are correct. Learfield has wanted to keep the books closed on A&M, because of a revenue-sharing agreement in its previous contract and it has still not been disclosed.

Alabama signed their contract in April 2014 and established the market, which A&M likely benefited from in negotiations a year later culminating in an agreement in Dec 2015.

The baseline agreement for Bama was to double
the previous min. payment which means they could make between $150-160M. If A&M followed suit, their agreement would be around $100M based on their previous agreement while in the Big 12, but I bet they negotiated from the stance of being an SEC member in the state of TX. That is the difference between the 2nd largest state economy in the US ($1.648 Trillion) vs. the 21st ($207 Billion).
