AJ did not inherit much himself. He has kids that will never sniff an NBA team and beat some pretty good teams who should go dancing. Conversely he lost to some chitty teams too. But this team with our former coach would at best be a 500 team.

AJ inherited a lot more talent than Bruce had to work with. Grant was a decent coach and I think he would've been in the NIT minimum this year as well. Let's not forget that two or three players transferred because Grant was fired so, you never know, Bama could've had an NCAA tournament team.

No doubt AJ is an upgrade over Grant. If he can recruit and evaluate talent he should have a successful run at Alabama.
