The league was improved overall, but lacked a consistently good team. I do not think you will see an SEC Team in the Sweet 16. Alabama had some good wins, but had some really bad loses. Any team with average talent and coaching should have made the NCAAs this year. I think the league lacked both at times this year.

Just like Auburn gets to say "what if" this year we will be saying "what if" about Dazon Ingram being out - that's the difference between a tournament team and not one

and you keep making comparisons to Grant - Avery did a couple things Grant could never seem to do

a win over a ranked team and not just one but multiple for Johnson
beat a Florida team that was beatable - seriously Grant never beat Florida not even once
winning on the dang road for a change

the results are similar, yes, but this is a team that was picked to finish 13 in the league and managed to pick up some big wins that a fanbase can hang their hat on

the play of Obasohan has been inspired along with Jimmy Taylor becoming more than just a foul machine - at the end of the day we just didn't have the horses you need to go a full season and make the NCAA tournament

hopefully Avery can recruit
