I probably missed it somewhere in all these stories, but do we actually know what Bowles told the grand jury? We know what he said in the interview afterward, and it certainly does not match the sworn affidavit. But if the former is a lie, it doesn't make him guilty of perjury, whereas lying in the latter would.

Exactly. And the simplest motive for lying to the media is to just keep people off his back, even if only for a while.

No, those records are sealed until the trials of AJ Johnson and Mike Williams later this summer.

No the GJ testimony is sealed for the time being.

Reading the simpletons of this board attempt to decipher a complex civil case with a legal case pending as well has been very entertaining though.

Obviously there are no transcripts of the Grand Jury proceeding since it's under litigation but reporters like Rucker who was likely there have said that his testimony to the Grand Jury was that he wasn't assaulted. Drae also told KNS that he told the Grand Jury that he wasn't. That particular interview took place shortly after his testimony.

The more distance we get between ourselves and an event the more our memories are tainted and the more likely we are to misremember. Memory is imperfect but this one is a big discrepancy even considering the amount of time that's passed.
