re: Croom owned Bama. Why didn't he succeed more at MSU?

He wasn't experienced at the college level and was arrogant. He also bought in to all of the rhetoric about how bad the MSU team was that he inherited and how it would be a minor miracle to ever win there. He finally realized how important recruiting was in the end and left a very good class in place for Mullen but it was too little too late. I actually felt bad for the guy watching his last eggbowl. That was brutal.
