A few years back bob jones was the largest HS in Alabama. Had like 6,000 kids right? Didn't know they split it up. That was also before they added the 7A classification. It used to only go up to 6A. Depending on the amount of kids enrolled and what class you want to be in. I think the rule is you can go up in class if your school board elects to do so but you can't go down a class if you have a student population that is too high.

No, more like 2500 and trending up but the 9th grade kids were at the middle schools before JCHS opened. The kindergarten class in Madison was twice the size of the graduating Seniors the year JCHS plans were finalized. They knew they needed another high school.
