I posted the article because admittedly, I've never heard this story about Peyton and thought it would be interesting to discuss. Since every thread is about LSU being poor or OM getting the death penalty.

Shaun King definitely does write a lot of race pieces and I agree that the NY Daily News can be questionable at times. However, Shaun does get into the facts from the court document and provides the document for backing. If you don't want to read his article, read the documents instead.

You've been here since 2009. I have a hard time believing you have never seen this posted here.

You can say whatever you want about Shaun King, but it doesn't change the facts of the case. The Manning brand has been carefully crafted over the years, under the tutelage of Archie. Every witness has corroborated her account of what happened. Sexon's eyewitness account of the assault has been in the public domain for years. Many of us have always known the basics of what happened, but this article does a good job of filling in some of the details. I thought she was a graduate assistant when it happened...not a full time university employee with a PhD. I never knew about the environment promoted by Mike Rollo.

Naughright could be going all Kathleen Willey on Peyton's arse right now, but I haven't seen anything in the media to indicate that she is pushing any of this. I've never bought into the squeaky clean image that the Mannings have cultivated. I've always thought Peyton, deep down inside, was a scumbag. Now is it possible that he's grown up, matured, yada yada yada? Maybe...but he was also stupid enough to write about her in the book.
