Glacier Bay is only 50 air miles away. Admirably Island NM is 5 miles and Tracy Arm/Fords Terror Wilderness is 40. You can do a day trip from Juneau to Tracy Arm. It's stunning.

That's awesome! My wife lived in Ketchikan for 6 years before we met. The pictures she showed me were so beautiful. Really like what I've seen and heard from her about Southeast Alaska. Have friends who lived in Juneau for a while but live in Anchorage now. Maybe I can shack up with them and see some of the sights.

Glacier Bay is spectacular. You can only see it by boat, or flying over it. 3 million acres, 16 tidewater glaciers, abundant wildlife.
