Deep threat potential:
Wims - 6'4" Juco 4* - great hands, very physical, tough to bring down - not a burner but likely can beat 1-1 coverage, particularly if safeties are brought up to support the run.

Godwin - smaller in size but legit speed, good routes... can be good assuming we can get accurate down field throws

Simmons - 3* Freshman receiver, not a ton of routes in his arsenal *but* to be a deep threat, the *other* personnel is much more important IMO... for him he needs a good double move and clean one cuts... if he can do this, I think he can surprise

Ridley - unknown for me... keep reading "don't expect his brother" but not getting a lot of context for what *to* expect... hopefully will be a pleasant surprise

Returning question marks: Jayson Stanley & Michael Chigbu - unsure if either of these guys can be legit deep threats. Stanley will depend on how well he's healed from the original ACL tear, really just don't know enough about Chigbu

Ultimately, I don't want to see us taking *too* many shots down field. Selective use to keep defenses honest will be key, especially if Eason can limit the risk and put the ball where it's only reachable by our receiver otherwise incomplete. See my comments in the other thread (Way too early SEC FOTY prediction.) if you want to see a more complete breakdown on how little really is needed in the way of improvement for Eason to not only have a successful freshman year but surprisingly have some big upside potential.
