Deerfield Beach four-star wide receiver Jerry Jeudy is set to announce a commitment at 8:30 p.m. EST during a live broadcast of The Tony Sands Show at the Tilted Kilt in downtown Fort Lauderdale.

Jeudy, who is ranked by 247Sports as the nation's No. 28 overall prospect, has long been a target of Miami, but Alabama is believed to be the favorite heading into the decision.

InsideTheU takes a look at the recruitment.

The Player: Jeudy might not be the most physically imposing wide receiver prospect at 6-1, 177 pounds, but he's one of the best double-move route runners in the class. He put on a show out at The Opening earlier this month and followed it up with strong performances at Miami's Paradise Camp and Florida's Friday Night Lights. The Top247 recruit drawn plenty of comparisons in the past to current Alabama star Calvin Ridley and that's because he makes plays like Ridley and has knack for getting open deep.

The Scoop: Miami, Alabama Florida, Tennessee and Florida State are all listed as finalists, but this is believed to be somewhat of a three-team race between the Crimson Tide, Gators and Hurricanes with Alabama the heavy favorite to land the dynamic wideout. Jeudy was in Tuscaloosa a number of times this summer to see primary recruiter Mario Cristobal and has developed a strong relationship with a number of Alabama commits. Still, the rising senior was at Miami two weeks ago for a visit and was also at Florida last weekend. That has both programs in the mix.

The Pick: Alabama. There's a reason why 247Sports' Ryan Bartow put in an Alabama Crystal Ball pick for Jeudy last July, and that's because the SEC program has long been the favorite to sign him. Cristobal and Nick Saban have made the out-of-state wideout a priority ever since they offered him last summer and that in turn created a situation where it will be hard for Jeudy to say 'no' to them. Miami made up ground when Mark Richt took over for Al Golden back in December and wide receivers coach Ron Dugans was brought on board, but it will likley end up being too little, too late.
