To be honest, I have a hard time understanding why he never caught on nationally.
He's got everything the two frontrunning Dem candidates are missing - Charisma, bonafide liberal credentials, a recent history as an elected chief executive. When the cycle started, I though he had a great shot at being the nominee and would be a really difficult target for the GOP candidate.
