the average salary out if UGA is 60K, it's 100k+ for GT. Not saying you can't get a good life after UGA.
But DRobs family view is skewed to GT because of their relative who appears very successful and went to GT.
I don't argue anything other than I do think GT provides a much higher ceiling career wise than most UGA has. The only thing I'd give UGA is business. If you graduate from GT in engineering you are set. Graduate from UGA with business you are a dime a dozen and far from set.

If you're implying entry level salaries, which it looks like you are, that's so unbelievably false.

A much higher ceiling? It's hard to take you serious when you say things like that.

I do have to say this average salary info you gave is false. Anyone who has graduated from college and found a job would know that and the actual information can be found easily with a simple google search. LINK /
Those numbers don't even match up for the graduate programs.
The percentage of new undergraduates making 6 figures is miniscule even from Ivy's. A great salary for new graduate engineering students is mid 60's which is what GT seems to do. I have no idea where you got 100 Gs.

The problem is such a course load isnt feasible for an athlete outside the brightest of the bright.

If you graduate from Alabama, UGA, Stanford, or Notre Dame in engineering you are set as well. It's stupid to compare apples to oranges.
And for all of the starting salary figures that you want to come up with, what you have to keep in mind is that state schools like UGA and UA are having to balance their numbers with the several who major in degrees that do not lead to a career in and of themselves (Bachelors degrees in psychology or art history, etc) In other words, it matters little to an engineering student how much an art history major makes out of college.

This is completely false and not even remotely close. I was very close to a ton of folks at GT and not a single one came close to making $100k right of college. In fact pretty much no one anywhere is lucky enough to make $100k the first job out of school. Maybe in 5 years or so, but not the very first one.
On here:

GT is $62k for 0-5 years out of school
UGA is $47k
