i don't remember Kirby going 5-7. I also don't remember a top 3 class by Tennessee
7-5 with the 6th most talented roster is a Butch Jones type of coaching job imo.
#4 on 247 in 2015 .04 points from 3rd place FSU. You're just splitting hairs atp

I don't really know why you would compare Butchs 2nd full class with Kirbys first
Also 6th ranked roster doesn't mean we have a well balanced and put together team. UGA had serious issues with OL, WR, and pretty thin at any position other than RB.

Kirby inherited a shitty oline. Probably bottom 3rd D1 wise if not lower.
He has arguably the best line coach in the biz. Conservatively the best haul of elite OL recruits this program has seen since they started giving out stars.
All this under one full year of recruiting so the staff has hardly scratched the surface.

this is like comparing apples to basketballs since the rankings of each team is going to vary wildly from year to year.
The equalizer would be to compare the actual total scores, not just their rank. For instance the class UGA will end up with this year could be #1 some years this century but won't even have a chance of sniffing higher than 3rd due to the hellaclasses bama and OSU are putting together.
