Whatever happens will be effectively a slap on the wrist. Vacating wins will hurt but won't affect the university going forward. Dropping a couple scholarships will have minimal impact when some SEC universities are signing 30+ in a season. They will just bracket the lost year(s) and go on as usual. I know lots of people are hoping for something major, but there's just not enough smoke for the fire to be that big.

I could be wrong, but I don't think so.

I usually agree with you but you're wrong about losing scholarships not hurting because some teams sign 30+ and I think that's because you misunderstand the situation that allowed UT to sign 30. Those classes were anomalies that couldn't have happened if the Kiffin-Dooley Era hadn't left the cupboard bare and I don't mean bare in terms of bad talent (although there was that) but bare as in no one was there. And although we had two large classes, those classes were also back counted (IOW, many of them counted towards previous classes/scholarship slots that were never filled by previous staff. A few counted forward to the next class and took their slot from what would've been the next year's recruiting class. Even when we took them all in the same cycle, there was never actually 30+ in any signing class as several were counted for other years.`).

It would take years of roster neglect akin to severe scholarship sanctions for a team to be able to sign 30+ and no one in that situation is faring well roster wise.

That said, you're probably right that the NCAA won't do much. The big thing for OM is that this spans multiple years and multiple sports and the NCAA really doesn't like it when you've got several sports with violations even if they're small violations.
