As an old LSU band guy, that would have been nice. I wonder how hot it would be in August marching on that artificial turf for 8 or more hours a day.

The field supposedly has a cooling system under it to keep the field (and the kids) from over heating. Not saying you're going to feel cool on a 96 degree day, but it could be a lot worse.
