I actually think Davis and Simmons are a pretty good comparison in terms of the leaps and bounds Simmons will take from college to the pros. Both of them you could tell they had/have gears/talent that other people don't, but they weren't quite there yet (though Simmons is better all around than Davis was, which is saying something).

The thing most people who say he isn't elite, for whatever reason, fail to notice is how ridiculous Simmons' ball handling skills are at his size. You don't see very many 6'10" players with the ability to handle the ball like a point guard
