Ok. Cow farts. Volcanos. Nature. Termites create more CO2 than humans in their consumption of cellulose.

Cellulose is made by plants, which took in the CO2 to make the cellulose.

The reason humans are pointed to is we take carbon out of the ground and release it into the atmosphere. Thus adding carbon to the system. Eating plants and producing CO2 is just putting the CO2 back that the plants took away.

ETA, it's why if you ignore the energy to get food to market humans breathing is carbon neutral. We got the carbon from plants which got it from CO2 in the atmosphere.
