Also in that sugar bowl Saban grabbed the ref's mic and told our student section to stop throwing stuff on the field when we scored b/c we'd get penalized. Awesome.


One more thing I thought of: In either '01 or '02 Saban came out in the media slamming our facilities. Saying LSU needs to make an investment in them if we expect to win championships. Don't know how Alabama's were in 2007, but the facilities arms race should have been in full swing by then.

Good answer......

Saban moved into a LSU house and neighborhood that had potential. Saban move into a Bama neighborhood where the house was almost perfect and move in ready! Bama's program being better historically when compared to LSU sure had Bama ready for what it takes to lure great recruits today. It takes having the goods to land recruits today and Saban & Staff were loaded when they arrived at Bama.
