Exactly which is why every championship contender should be recruiting dual-threat QB's. I mean even in a predominately pro-style offense like Bama's, why not have an athletic QB who can add multiple other options to your offense?

I agree, which is why our last two QB signees (Barnett and Hurts) both bring athleticism to the position. They aren't going to run the read option, but they have the athleticism to scramble and hurt teams with their legs, keep things alive. You can see the benefit we got even with Blake Sims last year versus Coker this year. We were sacked 25 times this season. Last year we were sacked 16 times. It's not because of the OL. It's because Sims was more adept at evading pressure.
