Being from North Alabama, the only white Catholics I've ever known were a good Polish family from Wisconsin and some Irishmen that somehow kept the faith after staying in Alabama for a long time. Otherwise, the only people you'd see in one were Hispanic.

I'm from around the Montgomery area and only knew one Catholic family until after I graduated from college. I now know a total of about 8 Catholic people.

Born and raised in North Alabama, but my little town of Guntersville had just about every denomination located in town, including a Catholic church. Right on main street as long as I can remember.
