There are four 4* QBs on roster behind him. Arkansas should be alright at QB. I'm more worried that we may actually lose one or two good QBs between now and next season. Arkansas also has 6'7" Cole Kelley committed in this class, and Enos is working on a few transfers from other programs. Three to be exact.

Now I don't know what Arkansas could ever do with 8 scholarship QBs, but they're going after a lot of them. QB should be a position Hog fans don't have to worry about for some time now. Especially with that fancy VR system they just bought. From what I understand it's a QB's dream.

Having a bunch of 4* QBs doesn't fix our QB problems. You can look around the SEC and find many teams chock full of QB talent who still struggle at the position. You need more than just stars to succeed as a QB in the SEC: you need great coaching, scheme, protection, targets, work ethic, and, usually, experience.

We know we have good coaching, scheme, and targets. The unknowns are protection and work ethic.

We know we don't have QBs with experience.

Protection is an unknown because we're losing three starting OL and we have a new OL coach.

Work ethic is an unknown (to me anyway) because we haven't seen much of our QBs and haven't heard much about them. I would guess that they work hard because I think that's the expectation of them, but we'll just have to see who emerges. The fact that we have so many talented QBs makes me think that we probably have good competition, which forces the QBs to work harder to see the field. So I'm hopeful in that regard.

Experience is just something we'll have to do without. I hope our OL gels quickly, because a good running game and good pass protection will help mask our lack of QB experience.
