Yep, but I still want Kim Anderson's head on a spike.

Was a good game. Hope they keep it up. Waiting to see the program in a few years once KA gets all of his players in. Hope he turns out to be a good Div 1 coach.

The best effort I have seen from the team this season. Good things happen when you play hard.

I doubt he lasts that long, but good win nonetheless.

If he makes it past this year, then he will likely be here for several more years.

Team could be good in 2 years. Finally will have a bunch of upperclassmen.
Seniors: Gant, Wright, TI, Allen
Juniors: Puryear, Phillips, Walton, CVL.

Finally won't be relying on young guys, unless KA somehow manages to land Tillmon & Porter.

Hey, I would love to see KA turn it around but don't see it happening.

It will all depend on if KA shows enough this year to get to that point. Win 6-7 SEC games and I think he will be around.

A second consideration is that of how close Mizzou is to APR sanctions. The APR problems come from Haith. Does a quality coach want to come in and have to deal with those possible sanctions?

The APR problem was made worse when KA took Shamburger who didn't finish his classes here at Mizzou after the season. It's the reason we can't take a 5th year guy for another season, Shamburger was in no way worth it, dude was horrible.

We can compete with teams who don't have a legitimate post player. Against anyone with a player 6'10" or taller, we get murdered. We can play with small teams.

Harris for Auburn is 6'10". College ball is really about guard play. Last night Walton, TI, & Wright all put up double figure points. Auburns guards didn't play well.

College play is a lot about guards. But we have and will continue to get killed by teams who can (and have the discipline to) pound it inside. Auburn had seven scholarship players on the bench last night. I'm not trying to discount the win. It was a good win and one of the first signs at all I've seen that there's hope. But, I'm afraid it may be situational.

Mizzou won 30 games in 2012 with 7 scholarship players. Duke won a title a few years ago playing 7 guys. It's not the number of scholarships that matter, it's the quality. Auburn is short on quality players.

Mizzou has rebounded well the last 5-6 games. Protected the ball better in that span. But continue to struggle scoring. I expected Wright to shoot close to 40% from 3, but instead he's around 25%.

I agree scoring is a problem. Being ranked 256 of however many teams is just flat out embarrassing.

Rebounding still sucks though. Ranked only slightly better at 212, averaging 36.1 rpg. We only hit our season average in 2 of the last 4 real games (no, UAPB and SSU don't mean shite to me). So I'd say we're playing about the same we have all season.

We are doing a bit better with turnovers, averaging only 11.9 per game, good for 76th in the nation. Who would have thought just being in the top 100 would be something to be encouraged about. In any case, over these 4 games, yes, we've been slightly better averaging 10 turnovers per game instead of nearly 12.

NC STATE
Rebounds - MU 29 NCState 41
Turnovers - MU 8 NCState 9

Illinois
Rebounds - MU 43 Illini 32
Turnovers - MU 15 Illini 7

Georgia
Rebounds - MU 29 UGA 35
Turnovers - MU 9 UGA 16

Auburn
Rebounds - MU 41 AU 34
Turnovers - MU 8 AU 14

One step forward two back. We are awful tonight. We needed this one tonight. I am guessing Miss State at home might be the only one we are favored in the rest of the season.

Did anyone not pay attention. I told you. Any team with a legit 6'10" post player will murder us.

(not 6'10" floating on the wing)

We have no offense that works. Can't handle pressure man-to-man defense. Can't play Man-to-man defense. This year is no better than last year.

Y'all think I'm joking, but Rosburg is the best post player we have. He should play until he fouls out. Woods is TERRIBLE. No athleticism. No defensive ability, no blocking out. Dude is SLOW. He jumps about as well as Steve did....and he might be worse than Rosburg at FT.

This is unfortunately completely true.
