Just call it what it is, you're high off the UK win. Jones had a terrible close to last season, and a terrible start to this one. Hell, he lost to AU twice last year, no? AU was a dumpster fire.

Jones is the same as one of his coaching mentors, Mark Gottfried. Simple as that. He will win games, coach NBA players, go to NCAA Tournaments, etc. But his teams will make you want to kick puppies and will break your heart in the tournament or down the stretch.

That isn't a terrible thing. We tend to love guys who "get the most out of their guys" (Mark Fox) and finish 20-12 more than guys who sign NBA players and are inconsistent (J. Jones) and finish 20-12. It's just the way it goes. If Gottfried had kept winning 22 games and going to NCAA Tournaments he'd still be our coach (and I'd still punch walls during half our games). However, he started losing and then all bets were off.

Jones has done a great job up until this season. I can't argue the start has been a compete disaster, but conference play is setting up very nicely for a big run. I'll let it play out before I jump off the JJ wagon
