After his playing career at AU ended he was hired as a coach at Lee-Scott Academy in Auburn. After one season there he was hired as assistant S&C coach for AU and never looked back. From assistant S&C coach to assistant AD in 5 years.

And people wonder why when it comes to football we seem to only hire coaches with prior connections to AU, well who else does JJ know?

How is anybody okay with a multi-million dollar nationally prominent Athletic Department being run by a hick from down the road in Chambers County with ZERO experience anywhere else? No wonder we're constantly plagued by internal problems.

What did you expect? The whole athletic department has been built around the good ole boy network and favors. If we had an administration with some stones, we would be hiring people based on their merit, not on how well connected they are to Auburn.
