it is even more incredible when you look at the overlaps and especially overlaps involving teams that are in the same conference or that play every year. Imagine Florida or Florida State if they were in different decades or didn't have to face each other. They cost each other at least 4 titles in the 90's. And then you throw in Nebraska in the 90's and all three played each other costing each other more titles. And, Florida had to also contend with Tennessee, which made the list, half that decade as well.

It shows you how incredible Bobby Bowden and Steve Spurrier were in the 90's, and only one of those guys played an SEC schedule while the other guy openly admitted running from the SEC.

Meanwhile, how many times did Alabama, OK, and SC play each other in the 70's??

Alabama vs USC
1970 - USC 42-21
1971 - Bama 17-10
1977 - Bama 21-10
1978 - USC 24-14

Alabama vs Oklahoma
1970 - Tie 24-24

Oklahoma vs USC
1971 - Oklahoma 33-20
1973 - Tie 7-7
