They have played absolutely no one. Being 13-0 and only ranked 23rd is very telling of not only their strength of schedule, but also that the media thinks this is a very weak team as well. South Carolina basketball will never win anything remotely close to significant nor will they ever be semi-relevant. That place is the conferences black hole of basketball. Darrin Horn (the last coach to win 20 games and reach postseason play) isn't walking through that door.

Eta: An admin edited my thread for some unbeknownst reason. Upvote if they stay the course, downvote if you think they fold - and by fold I mean finish around 19-13

It is cute seeing their fans riled up and acting like that team is actually good. I mean, I get they need something to be passionate about but I wouldn't suggest putting all their eggs in the Francisco Martin basket. The road to 18-14 begins tonight. Auburn wins going away

I take it back, their best win was over a solid Hofstra Pride team. 94-84

Thank the Lord above.

Part of the reason Martin has had such an uphill climb here is because of that dipshit.

What's with the jelly bball thread?

We aren't even in the Top 10 of the SEC Standings anymore.

Wait, is this b/c we're in Top25 of the Coaches and AP polls?

We've got three starters out injured and another starter still waiting eligibility issues. A regular off the bench player also injured. We will play white walk-ons extensively at point guard. If Auburn wins, SC is in deep trouble.

And even with all you're missing, SC is only a 5 point favorite tonight

Your team had to take TROY to OT. A team that is in 8th place in the freakin Sunbelt.

Here's what's become sorta funny about all of this.

I have never seen so many members of this forum so engaged with a SEC basketball team that is doing nothing but boosting the SEC's basketball stock right now.

You would think everyone would be happy to see the conference getting some positive press about having an undefeated program still going ... I mean there are fans all over the country who will watch, if for no other reason, than to see us finally lose to someone.

And you would think we'd get, at least, a little bit of credit for our margin of victory average ... we've beaten some decent teams by fairly hefty margins.

Have we played the toughest schedule so far? No. But when they were scheduled they were supposed to be decent teams. Have we beaten teams who have beaten teams who are supposed to be far superior to ours? Yes, absolutely.

Is this just a jealousy thing? Is the real argument here, by some fans, that their teams would be undefeated too if only they played our schedule? I think that's what most of this is.

So anyways ... it's all good, it's all cool. I get it, I do. I just don't quite understand the obsession. But it does feel good in a way - everyone wants to be the one that beats us at this point - that "puts us in our place" I guess huh?

Ole Miss will still be a higher seed than SC in the SEC Tournament

Wait a minute? Now I know folks use all kinds of other teams' logos next to their names here. Maybe you aren't an Ole Miss fan.

But if you are, how on Earth can an Ole Miss fan refer to ANY school of ANY conference (except maybe Northwestern) as a black hole??? Zero SEC regular season titles in 80+ years. Zero. One Sweet 16 and that's just in 30 years of the tourney expanding to 64 in 1985 --forget Champ or bust through '74.

Wow.
