Baws, I wasn't the one trying to compare Calvin Johnson to Treadwell. Some other idiot in this thread tried to do that. Calvin Johnson is a first ballot hall of famer that had an outstanding college career. Treadwell may make 1 or 2 pro bowls in the right system and had an above average college career. Calvin was picked number 2 in the draft. Treadwell shouldn't be picked in the same stratosphere, but he's constantly discussed a top 5 or top 10 pick which is absolutely ridiculous.

I wouldn't take Treadwell top 5. He might be one of the 10 best players out there, but WR isn't nearly as expensive a position to fill via FA than OT, CB, QB, and pass rushers. If you have a decent one coming off a rookie contract you pretty much have to franchise them to keep them, so the FA market for LT and QB, for instance, is essentially non existent these days.
If I ran an NFL team I'd draft a QB and a potential LT in the first 3 rounds every single year. I wouldn't announce the plan, but it would be obvious after 2-3 years. Non football IR a low round rookie QB like Cincy did with McCarron if you have to. Avoid cancers like Manziel and those QBs maintain trade value as well.
