Ole Miss' defense wasn't that great this year, and you lose your two best players from said defense

We didn't have Tony Conner for most of the year. We will have to replace some guys for sure but I like our chances to plug in some new guys waiting in the wings and step up.

I just don't see how you can say Ole Miss will for sure have a great defense next year with so many unknowns at this point when you weren't a great defense this year. If Kelly comes back Ole Miss will be among the preseason favorites for the playoffs, but I just don't see defense being a team strength for Ole Miss next year.

I actually think the team played better without either of the Nkemdiches. They had some off the field issues which everyone knows about now. Too bad, but OM didn't get their best efforts this year, yet still was one fluke play away from winning the West. I'm not concerned about the 2016 team's ability to play good D. You heard it here: Chad Kelly WILL return for his senior season. He has a chance to be the all-time SEC yardage leader, win the West and compete for the Heisman. In one season, he passed up everybody (Tebow, Prescott) except Manziel. He'll greatly improve his NFL stock by leading the team again. And even if Treadwell declares, there are plenty of experienced WR's--Adeboyjo, Stringfellow, etc.--to help him sling the ball around.
