Miles was very hands-off with Chavis. He let him run the D with pretty much complete autonomy. Chavis' biggest failure was holding onto Brick Haley. He and Raymond were supposed to spearhead defensive recruiting, along with Peveto when he came back. Brick got progressively worse as time wore on, and there just seemed to be no long-term recruiting plan in place.

After this class, we should finally be turning the corner on depth and talent, but we will still be very inexperienced at LB until 2017. It takes a long time to dig out from poor or inconsistent recruiting.
